The official head of state of Australia is the Monarch of the Commonwealth Realms. The Queen's birthday is officially celebrated in many parts of Australia on the second Monday of June. However, this day is held on on a date proclaimed by the governor, often on the last Monday of September or the first Monday of October, in the state of Western Australia.
Many Australians have a day off work on the Queen's Birthday. For many, it is a chance to do something with their family or to visit a sporting event. Some people take advantage of the three-day weekend to make trips to visit friends or relatives.
Some well-known sporting events are held on the second Monday of June. These include an Australian Football League game played at the Melbourne cricket club between the Collingwood Magpies and the Melbourne Demons. It is also traditionally seen as the opening weekend of the snow season in Australia, although it is often not possible to really ski for another few weeks.
Australia is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and the official head of state is the Monarch of the Realms. This is currently Queen Elizabeth II. She is also the head of state of many other countries and territories, including Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Canada and New Zealand. She was born on April 21, 1926, although her official birthday is celebrated on a range of dates in the different countries of the Commonwealth of Nations.

The Monarch's Birthday was first celebrated in Australia in 1788. In that year, King George III was the Monarch and Governor Arthur Phillip declared a holiday to mark his birthday. Originally, the Monarch's birthday was celebrated on the anniversary of the actual date of birth of the King or Queen. However, after the death of King George V in 1936, the date remained close to his birthday, which was June 3.
On the second Monday in June, the Queen's Birthday honors list is released. This contains the names of the new members of the Order of Australia and other honors issued by the Australian government or the Queen. These are generally for exceptional service to Australians, Australia or humanity as a whole.

National Sorry Day in Australia
National Sorry Day is an Australia-wide observance held on May 26 each year. This day gives people the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities. Stolen generations refer to Indigenous Australians who were forcibly removed from their families and communities.
National Sorry Day also gives people the chance to write messages and sign “sorry books” as a way of showing their commitment towards reconciliation. They pledge their support towards fulfilling the recommendations from the Bringing Them Home report. Thousands of Australians have already shown their support by writing messages and signing “sorry books” since 1998.
Many school children take part in National Sorry Day activities, which include essay competitions, lighting candles for Indigenous Australians who were taken away from their families and communities, and inviting local Indigenous Australian elders to speak with students. Films that focus on the Stolen Generations may also be shown to students for discussion.
The first National Sorry Day was held on May 26, 1998, which was one year after the tabling of a report about the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families. The report, known as Bringing Them Home, acknowledged that Indigenous children were forcibly separated from their families and communities since the early days of European occupation in Australia. Governments and missionaries were responsible for this forced separation.
Systematic removal practices were implemented through various assimilation and “protection” policies by the late 19th century. Many Indigenous children were forcibly taken away from their families in the name of assimilation during the 1950s and 1960s. These children are known as the “Stolen Generations”. They were brought up in institutions or fostered to non-Indigenous families. This removal was official government policy in Australia until 1969.

By the 1980s, by welfare and community groups spoke out that governments' social welfare practices were discriminatory against Indigenous people. This forced a reappraisal of removal and placement practice during the 1980s. In 1980 the family tracing and reunion agency Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation was established. Similar services now exist throughout Australia.
Australia’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd tabled a motion in parliament on February 13, 2008, apologizing to Australia’s Indigenous people, particularly the Stolen Generations and their families and communities, for the laws and policies that inflicted profound grief, suffering and loss. The apology included a proposal for a policy commission to close the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in matters such as life expectancy, educational achievement, and economic opportunity. This event is seen by many as a step forward in reconciliation

Prophet's Birthday
Muhammed was born in Mecca, now in Saudi Arabia, in the year 570 of the Gregorian calendar. The precise date of his birth is unclear. However, Sunni Muslims observe Muhammed's birthday on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi' al-awwal, while Shi'a Muslims mark it on the 17th day of this month. The 17th day of Rabi' al-awwal commemorates the birth of the sixth Shi'a iman, Ja'far al-Sadiq.
The term Mawlid is used in Egypt and Sudan to refer to the birthdays of both Muhammed and local Sufi saints. The birthdays of about 3000 Sufi saints are marked or celebrated. Some of these birthdays are large celebrations that attract visitors from various countries. One of the most notable of these is the celebration of Ahmed el-Bedawi's birthday. Ahmed el-Bedawi lived about 700 years ago and is believed to be buried under the Mosque of Sheikh el-Said Ahmed el-Bedawi. The site attracts millions of visitors, including those who sleep in the mosque and in tents on the streets surrounding it.

The word Mawlid, or Milad, depending on the method of transliteration used, comes from the Arabic word for birth and usually refers to the anniversary of Muhammed's birth. This observance is also known as Mevlid Serif in Turkish, Mawlūd Sharīf in Urdu and Maulidur-Rasūl in Malay.
Many Muslims in Australia may fast during daylight hours on Eid Milad ul-Nabi. They may also attend special prayer meetings or lectures on Muhammad's life or on Islam's spiritual aspects. Some Muslim groups also hold classes for children on Muhammad's life or a communal meal or celebration.
The rooms used during the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday celebrations are often modestly decorated with banners, flowers or balloons. Other groups hold lectures to inform people about Islam, Mohammed's life and current events in the Muslim world. Stalls selling Islamic books are seen at many events.

Adelaide Cup in Australia
Horse racing in Adelaide began in 1838 and the inaugural Adelaide Cup was run on the Thebarton Course on April 21, 1864. From this point onwards, the Adelaide Cup was an observance that became part of the state’s annual racing schedule. A wartime ban on racing was introduced in 1942 but the ban was lifted in 1944 and the Adelaide Cup was run again. Adelaide Cup received its public holiday status in 1973 and became officially known as the SKYCITY Adelaide Cup in 2005.
Previously held on the third Monday of May, the Adelaide Cup date was changed in 2006 due to rainy weather that often coincided with the racing date in previous years. The newly proposed date needed to fit with the Australian national racing calendar. The South Australian government’s decision to move the date to a warmer time of the year (in the southern hemisphere), which would improve financial returns, was a success. The Adelaide Cup date was fixed to be annually held on the second Monday of March from 2006 onwards.

Muanday Thursday of canada
Maundy Thursday is traditionally known as the Thursday of the Lord’s Supper to commemorate the institution of the Eucharist, a Christian sacrament that involves consecrating (or making holy) bread and wine. It is also known as Holy Communion. Many of the Maundy Thursday church traditions come from practices that took place in Europe for many centuries.
Many Christians in Canada attend Maundy Thursday church services, which are often held in the evenings. Services on this day usually reflect on the story of the Last Supper, which is told in the Christian bible. Communion is offered to the congregation, prayers are made and oils are blessed. Some churches no longer allow dipping bread into wine (intinction).
You can check the hotel details in: http://list-of-hotels.com, and find more atrractions of there from http://attractions.bz.
Some priests or ministers wash parishioners’ feet in memory of the story of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet. It is also common practice for altars to be stripped bare on Maundy Thursday. Some churches offer a light supper for congregation members after the Maundy Thursday service, where donations for the meals are used for charitable causes. It is also a time for some Christians to donate money to the poor.
Maundy Thursday is also a time for many people who plan on going away for the Easter long weekend, which begins on Good Friday, to prepare for their trip. Many Canadians use the Easter Long weekend for getaway trips to places such as holiday cabins or resorts.

Victoria Day
Victoria Day, also known as May Two-Four, May Long and May Long Weekend, is a Canadian holiday on the Monday preceding May 25.
Queen Victoria was born on May 24, 1819. Following the death of three uncles and her father, she became Queen of the United Kingdom on June 20, 1837 and reigned until her death on January 22, 1901. Victoria is still the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. During Victoria's life, the British Empire expanded considerably. However, her powers as Queen of the United Kingdom were reduced as the House of Commons became more important and powerful in British politics.
The monarch's birthday has been celebrated in Canada since before the beginning of Queen Victoria's reign. After her death, in 1901, May 25 became known as Empire Day. The sovereign's official birthday was still celebrated, often on the King's or Queen's actual birthday. In 1952, Empire Day was moved to the Monday before May 25 and since 1953, the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth II has been celebrated on this date in Canada. In 1958, Empire Day became known as Commonwealth Day, which was moved to the second Monday in March. The Monday before May 25 then became known as Victoria Day, which is a Canadian statutory holiday. Many stores are closed in many Canadian provinces and territories. However, there are some local variations. Post offices across Canada are closed. Public transport services may run to a normal or reduced timetable.

In some cities, fireworks displays or parades are held to mark Victoria Day. One of the most notable parades is held in the city of Victoria, British Columbia, which was named after Queen Victoria. Many people gather in parks to enjoy fireworks displays, which are particularly impressive in Hamilton and Toronto.
For many people, the long Victoria Day weekend marks the end of the winter and the unofficial start of the spring or summer season. After this weekend, gardeners can be reasonably sure that there will be no more frost until the autumn so they can sow or plant out delicate crops and plants. For the same reason, people with recreational homes in colder parts of the country often go to them to open them up for the summer. In addition, many amusement parks and outdoor attractions open for their summer season this weekend. Notably, stores on Prince Edward Island are only permitted to open on Sunday between Victoria Day and Christmas Day.

Pentecost in Canada
According to the Christian Bible, it was on the 50th day after Easter when the apostles prayed together and the Holy Spirit descended on them. They received the “gift of tongues” – the ability to speak in other languages – and immediately began to preach about Jesus Christ to Jewish people from all over the world who flocked to Jerusalem for the Feast of Shavuot.
Christian Pentecost not only commemorated the Holy Spirit’s visit but also marked the birth of the Christian Church. Although it is not certain when Christians started observing Pentecost, it may have been early as the first century CE. Whitsuntide, also referred to as Whitsun in modern times, is the period beginning with the Saturday before Whitsunday and ending the following Saturday.
You can check the hotel details in: http://list-of-hotels.com, and find more atrractions of there from http://attractions.bz.
According to church tradition, Pentecost is about seven weeks after Easter Sunday, or 50 days after Easter, including Easter Day. In some Orthodox churches, Whitsunday is observed after the date set by the western churches. This is because some Orthodox churches still observe holidays according to the Julian calendar, which preceded the Gregorian calendar adopted by many western churches. The Easter date depends on the ecclesiastical approximation of the March equinox.
Many churches in Canada have special Pentecost services. Bible passages regarding the Holy Spirit’s descent on Jesus’ disciples are read out during the services. Some churches may organize special events, such as Pentecost services at seniors’ residences. Poems and songs dedicated to the Holy Spirit are read out or sung in some churches.
Sunday school activities focus on the events that took place during Pentecost, which is described in the New Testament in the Christian Bible. Activities include puzzles and games, take-home sheets that summarize what students learned in class, stained glass craft, and coloring pages.

St Andrew's day in United Kingdom
The St Andrew's Day Bank Holiday (Scotland) Act 2007 was passed by the Scottish Parliament on November 29, 2006. It was given Royal Assent by Queen Elizabeth II on January 15, 2007. The first St Andrew's Day bank holiday was observed on November 30, 2007. The Scottish government used this as an opportunity to support celebrations of Scottish culture all over the world.
St Andrew was born in Bethesda on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and was the younger brother of St Peter. Both he and his brother became disciples of Jesus. He is said to have died bound to an “X” shaped cross at Patras in Achea in Greece. This shape is now reflected in the Scottish flag, known as the Saltire. St Andrew has been recognized as the patron saint of Scotland since at least the ninth century.
The bill to make St Andrew's Day a bank holiday in Scotland was first introduced in 2003. In 2005, it was rejected by the Scottish Parliament on its first reading. The main objections were that the introduction of another bank holiday would have a negative impact on the Scottish economy. After further negotiations, the bill was supported by the First Minister of Scotland. One of the results of these negotiations was that the new law should not give employees an extra holiday, but that a holiday on St Andrew's Day should replace an existing local holiday.
The Scottish flag, or Saltire, is flown on public buildings in Scotland on St Andrew's Day. In the rest of the United Kingdom, the British Union Flag is flown. Some people have a day off work in Scotland. In Edinburgh, there is a week of celebrations, concentrating on musical entertainment and traditional ceilidh dancing. A ceilidh is a social event with couples dancing in circles or sets (groups of eight people). In Glasgow city center, a large shindig, or party, with traditional music and a ceilidh are held. In Dumfries, songs are performed in the Burn's night tradition.

Civil Rights Day in America
New Hampshire used to observe Fast days before Civil Rights Day was introduced. Fast days were common throughout New Hampshire’s colonies for hundreds of years. These were days of public humiliation, fasting and prayer that governors issued to avoid plagues, earthquakes, crop failures and other unwanted events. The earliest known Fast Day proclamation was in Boston on September 8, 1670.
The New Hampshire legislature abolished its Fast Day in May in 1991 to create Civil Rights Day. The Day was scheduled to be observed annually on the third Monday of January, coinciding with Martin Luther King Day. A compromise was made to end 12 years of debate over the holiday – it was to delete the Martin Luther King Jr’s name from the official holiday name. However, many people in New Hampshire associate Martin Luther King Jr’s name with the holiday, as he was one of the United States’ most respected civil rights activists.

With regard to Arizona, on June 18, 1987, State Governor Evan Mecham issued a proclamation declaring "the third Sunday in January, commencing in 1988 and every year thereafter to be Martin Luther King, Jr. - Civil Rights Day in the State of Arizona...". However the proposal to create the Martin Luther King Day holiday was turned down in the Arizona Senate in 1988. In 1992, Arizona voters passed Proposition 300, which established a Martin Luther King/Civil Rights holiday on the third Monday of every January. Arizona observed this combined state holiday for the first time in 1993.
Many people in Arizona and New Hampshire observe Civil Rights Day to honor the civil rights movement. The media play an important role in publicizing issues that center on the day. Many people read print or online articles and features, as well as watch special television programs or listen to radio segments about civil rights achievements and problems throughout history and in modern times.
Some schools include lessons, quizzes and class reports about civil rights around this time of the year. Students who participate in these activities learn more about the history and importance of civil rights in the United States and globally.

Dargon Boat Festival
Many believe that the Dragon Boat Festival originated in ancient China based on the suicide of the poet and statesman of the Chu kingdom, Qu Yuan in 278 BCE.The festival was long marked as a cultural holiday in China. it wasn’t until 2008 that the Dragon Boat Festival was recognized as a traditional and statutory public holiday in the People's Republic of China. The festival commemorates the life and death of the famous Chinese scholar Qu Yuan, who was a loyal minister of the King of Chu in the third century BCE.
Qu Yuan’s wisdom and intellectual ways antagonized other court officials, thus they accused him of false charges of conspiracy and was exiled by the king. During his exile, Qu Yuan composed many poems to express his anger and sorrow towards his sovereign and people. Qu Yuan drowned himself by attaching a heavy stone to his chest and jumping into the Miluo River in 278 BCE at the age of 61. The people of Chu tried to save him believing that Qu Yuan was an honorable man; they searched desperately in their boats looking for Qu Yuan but were unable to save him. Every year the Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated to commemorate this attempt at rescuing Qu Yuan.

The local people began the tradition of throwing sacrificial cooked rice into the river for Qu Yuan, while others believed that the rice would prevent the fishes in the river from eating Qu Yuan’s body. At first, the locals decided to make zongzi in hopes that it would sink into the river and reach Qu Yuan's body. However, the tradition of wrapping the rice in bamboo leaves to make zongzi began the following year.
The Dragon Boat Festival is a celebration where many eat rice dumplings (zongzi), drink realgar wine (xionghuangjiu), and race dragon boats. Other activities include hanging icons of Zhong Kui (a mythic guardian figure), hanging mugwort and calamus, taking long walks, writing spells and wearing perfumed medicine bags. All of these activities and games such as making an egg stand at noon were regarded by the ancients as an effective way of preventing disease, evil, while promoting good health and well-being. People sometimes wear talismans to fend off evil spirits or they may hang the picture of Zhong Kui on the door of their homes, a guardian against evil spirits.

Germanic Repentance Day
Repentance Day was previously held on various dates. There were 47 days of repentance on 24 different dates in 28 German states in 1878. In 1893 a church council in Prussia decided that the day of repentance should fall on the Wednesday before the last Sunday in the church year and, hence, 11 days before the first Sunday in Advent. The Day of Prayer and Repentance was moved to a Sunday during World War II.
The day became a public holiday from that period until 1966 when it was abolished after the five-day week was introduced in the German Democratic Republic. The day was a public holiday in the Federal Republic of Germany (except Bavaria). It became a public holiday in Bavaria in 1952 but was observed mainly in Protestant areas. From 1981, it was also observed in Catholic areas.
The Day of Prayer and Repentance was a public holiday throughout the nation from Germany's unification in 1990 until the end of 1994. Germans exchanged the public holiday that year for health insurance improvements. However, Saxony has different health insurance arrangements and the state retained the public holiday.
Some Protestant Christians spend most of the Day of Prayer and Repentance in prayer or engage in quiet reflection or deep thoughts. For other people in the German state of Saxony, the day is an opportunity to spend time with family or friends.

Family Day in Canada
Family Day was first held in Canada in the province of Alberta in 1990. It is supposed to reflect the values of family and home that were important to the pioneers who founded Alberta, and give workers the opportunity to spend more time with their families. Family Day was introduced in Saskatchewan in 2007 and in Ontario in 2008. One of the reasons for introducing Family Day was that there was a long period when there were no holidays from New Year's Day until Good Friday.
Holidays to celebrate families are also held in other places around the globe. In the Australian Capital Territory, the first Tuesday of November is known as Family and Community Day. In South Africa, the day after Easter Sunday is Family Day.You can check the hotel details in: http://list-of-hotels.com, and find more atrractions of there from http://attractions.bz.
On Family Day, many people plan and take part in activities aimed at the whole family. These include visiting art exhibitions, watching movies, skating on outdoor ice rinks, playing board games and taking part in craft activities. Some communities plan special public events, and art galleries and museums may have reduced price or free entry.
As the weather is usually very cold in February, hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies are popular snacks. Other people use the long weekend as an opportunity for a short winter break or to travel to visit family members or friends. As Family Day falls on the same date as National Heritage Day, some people use the day to explore their personal heritage and family history.
In the provinces of Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan, many people have a day off work and schools are generally closed on Family Day. Many businesses and organizations are closed, but post offices may be open. Public transport services may run to their usual or reduced timetables.
In the province of Manitoba, the third Monday of February is a general holiday, known as Louis Riel Day. Many people have a day off work and school and many businesses, organizations and stores are closed. In some communities, stores are open after noon. Public transport services may run to Sunday or holiday timetables. In rural areas, there may be no services.
In the other provinces and territories of Canada, Family Day is not observed and the third Monday in February is not a holiday. Businesses, organizations, schools and post offices are open as usual and public transport services run to their normal timetables.

Fa Hai Temple
JFahai Temple, the ancient and solemn temple is located at the southern foot of the beautiful, serene and secluded Cuiwei Mountain in Moshikou of Shijingshan District of Beijing. It was constructed in the 4th year of the Zhengtong Reign in the Ming Dynasty and completed five years later.
According to the record, the Temple consisted of a large number of buildings grouped together in a compact layout at that time. A great deal of vivid and spectacular murals with high artistic value were painted on the walls of the main hall of the Temple. Unfortunately, what have remained up to the present are only Daxiongbaodian (the Precious Hall of Sakyamuni) and nine murals inside it.
The three murals on the back of the niche depicted the images of Guanyin (Avalokitesvara), Wenshu (Manjusri) and Poxian (Samantabhadra). The best painted was the image of Guanyin watching the moon in the water, with her half chest bared, a light transparent gauze draped over her shoulders and wearing pearl and jade ornaments on her chest, looking beautiful, affable, dazzling and divine.
The two murals on each side of the wall of North Gate portrayed the scene of Buddhist worship and Dharma protection, comprising 36 figures such as Lokapala, Heavenly Queen, various gods and demons. This large gathering of figures, among them, the tallest is nearly 2 meters, and the lowest merely 50 centimeters, were brilliantly depicted.
The Heavenly Queen elegantly dressed looks graceful, and the robust Lokapala, awe-inspiring with frowning brows and glaring eyes, while the nacked worriors covered with bulging bodily muscles fully displayed their bold spirit. All these murals with very high artistic value and their bright colors still intact even after 500 years up to now were done meticulously by imperial as well as folk painters in the Ming Dynasty.

All Saints' Day
All Saints' Day is a celebration of all Christian saints, particularly those who have no special feast days of their own, in many Roman Catholic, Anglican and Protestant churches. In many western churches it is annually held November 1 and in many eastern churches it is celebrated on the first Sunday after Pentecost. It is also known as All Hallows Tide, All-Hallomas, or All Hallows' Day.
It is said that the idea for All Saints' Day goes back to the fourth century when the Greek Christians kept a festival on the first Sunday after Pentecost (in late May or early June) in honor of all martyrs and saints. Other sources say that a commemoration of “All Martyrs” began to be celebrated as early as 270 CE but no specific month or date is recorded. Pope Gregory IV made All Saints' Day an authorized holiday in 837 CE. It is speculated that the chosen date for the event, November 1, may have been an attempt to supplant the pagan Festival of the Dead (also known as Samhain or the feast of Saman, lord of death).

All Saints' Day is observed by Christians in many countries around the world. In countries such as Spain, Portugal and Mexico, offerings are made on this day. In countries such as Belgium, Hungary and Italy people bring flowers to the graves of dead relatives. In other parts of Europe, such as Austria, Croatia, Poland, and Romania, it is customary to light candles on top of visiting graves of deceased relatives. It is also observed in parts of Asia, such as the Philippines, where people visit graves of deceased relatives and clean or repair them. They also lay flowers on the graves and light candles.
In France church services in memory of all the saints are held on November 1 but by the evening the focus turns towards the dead. Cemeteries everywhere are crowded with people who come to clean and decorate family graves.
All Saints' Day is closely tied with All Souls' Day, held on November 2, which is dedicated to prayers of the dead who are not yet glorified.

Use sunscreen with the right sun protection factor and moisturizer when going outdoors. Select a foundation that keeps moisture in place like those that contain glyconucleopeptides, silicone, or silica. Drink fish oil capsules that contain essential fatty acids, or flax seed oil, every day. They will make your skin soft and supple. Eating five to ten servings of vegetables and fruits daily with each meal also helps in hydrating the skin.
Electrolytes should also be balanced to help regulate the hydration levels of the body. These can be found in fruits like bananas and oranges instead of so called energy drinks like Gatorade since it is composed of a lot of sugar and artificial ingredients.
Exfoliate gently and regularly using mild alpha hydroxyl acids to dissolve dead skin cells that buildup in the skin because of its dryness and keratinization. Improvement of the skin's natural moisturizing factor can be achieved by the use of lactic acid, squalene, glycerine, and urea treatments. For special treatment for your skin, a hydrating mask can be applied to make the skin remain moist but make sure that it will not unintentionally dry the skin.

Luminous Skin Tips
Acomplexion that is clear and glowing is every woman's desire. While beauty secrets and products promising immaculate vibrant skin cater to this, a simple routine using everyday, if "low-tech," methods and skin care paraphernalia can help you achieve luminous results without the fuss or expense. Of course, you can opt for more expensive treatments if you prefer.
Keep Hydrated
It is not just what you put on your skin but also what you take in that impacts its health and appearance. Water is a critical part of keeping the skin moisture-rich and luminous-looking, and something that you can easily include in your routine, whether on its own or in the form of tea. By drinking plenty of water, you are helping your body remove toxins and repair itself from environmental damage that can compromise skin's natural glow.
Eliminate Gunk from Your Regimen
You can help your skin further by actively monitoring what you put into your body. When integrated into an overall health regimen of reducing animal fats, smoking and alcohol, a skin care regimen that shuns harmful ingredients gives your skin a better chance for greater clarity and luminosity. Your skin becomes less bogged down with pollutants, and a diet of fresh fruits and vegetables gives your body the ability to fight off free-radical damage. If possible, use as little makeup as you can to achieve the look you want.
Follow a Daily Skin Care Regimen
In an age of microdermabrasion gadgets and scientifically developed formulations for the skin, you can still stick to a daily routine consisting of basic, time-tested drugstore products to create luminous skin. Washing twice a day -- once in the morning and once at night, cheap hotel and company information -- with warm water and mild hypoallergenic soap or facial cleanser is easy to do; when followed by a small heaping of cold cream to the face, this daily ritual deep-conditions and removes any traces of oil and makeup accumulated during the day. As long as you remove the cold cream thoroughly with a warm moist washcloth and do not use it in excess, you should not have to worry about breakouts.
Use Enhancing Makeup
As much as a simplified routine can be serviceable, there are times when you will just want to splurge or use a new product that gives your skin that extra bit of help to look radiant. You can apply a brightening mask or moisturizer in advance of any makeup to even out skin tone and "juice" up the face. You may also apply cream or liquid highlighters strategically on cheekbones such that the reflective particles they contain give the skin a shimmery luminescence that is more subtle than glitter.

The dosage of Vitamin A
Different ages and symptoms, the dosage of Vitamin A is different.
Adults (18 years and older)
For vitamin A deficiency not involving xerophthalmia, the following has been used: 100,000 IU by mouth or injected into the muscle daily for three days, followed by 50,000 IU daily for two weeks. A maintenance dose of 10,000-20,000 IU daily for two months has been recommended.
For community-based in intervention, 200,000 IU has been taken as a single dose by mouth monthly for six months.
For acute promyelocytic leukemia (treatment), all- trans retinoic acid (Vesanoid? (tretinoin)) has been administered as follows: 45 milligrams per square meter of body surface area daily by mouth, as two evenly divided doses until complete remission; therapy should be discontinued 30 days after the achievement of complete remission or after 90 days of treatment, whichever occurs first.
For HIV, vitamin A (400,000 IU in adults and 50,000 IU in infants) has been given to women and infants by mouth during the postpartum period for two years.
For mortality reduction, 1,333-200,000 IU has been taken by mouth daily or on alternate days for 28 days to 12 years.
For oral leukoplakia, 300,000 IU has been taken by mouth weekly for 12 months or 200,000 IU has been taken by mouth weekly for six months or 1-2 milligrams of 13- cis -retinoic acid per kilogram of body weight has been taken by mouth daily for three months. Topical 0.1% isotretinoin gel three times daily for four months or a topical formulation of 20 milligrams of acitretin daily in a two-layer mucoadhesive tablet has been used.
For retinitis pigmentosa, the National Eye Institute (NEI) recommends that patients with typical forms receive 15,000 IU of supplemental vitamin A palmitate daily under medical supervision.
For tuberculosis, 5,000-200,000 IU has been taken three times by mouth prior to antituberculosis medication.
For UV-induced skin damage, topical all- trans retinoic acid (tretinoin, the acid form of vitamin A), at a concentration of 0.02% or higher, has been used over a period of 4-11 months.

Good Portions for Meals
Vegetables and Fruits
One serving of vegetables equals about a half cup of cooked vegetables or 3/4 cup of vegetable juice. One serving of fruit equals half a cup of berries, a medium apple, or half a grapefruit or mango. Vegetable and fruit servings should be about the size of your fist.
Carbohydrates
A half cup of rice, mashed potatoes or pasta is equivalent to one serving -- about the size of a scoop of ice cream. A small baked potato, waffle or slice of bread is also one serving. A serving of cornbread or a roll is the size of a bar of soap.
Meat, Dairy and Beans
A serving of meat equals three ounces, which could be a medium pork chop, one chicken breast or 1/4 pound of ground meat -- the size of your palm or a deck of cards. Three ounces of fish is the size of a checkbook. A serving of dairy equals 1-1/2 ounces of cheese or one cup of milk or yogurt. One cup of cooked beans -- a serving -- equals the size of a fist or a tennis ball.
Snacks, Fats and Oil
A snack serving equals three or four crackers, a handful of chips or pretzels, one scoop of ice cream or an ounce of chocolate. A serving of butter is the size of a postage stamp but as thick as your finger. A serving of salad dressing equals two tablespoons -- the size of a ping-pong ball.

7 Best and Worst Sugar Substitutes
Remember the '70s? Disco. Wooden platform sandals. And, everyone's favorite no-calorie sugar substitute: Sweet N' Low. Finally, we could wash down our cake with a can of Tab and still fit into our favorite bell-bottom jeans. That is, until researchers found out that our new go-to sugar substitute was linked to cancer -- and made us rethink those promising pink packets.
The scary news didn't stop new sugar swaps from hitting the shelves: NutraSweet, Equal, and Splenda all promise us zero calories and the same sweet taste as the white stuff. But nutritionists aren't as keen on these sugar substitutes as we are. Researchers at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. found that lab animals given foods sweetened with an artificial sweetener gained more weight than those who consumed sugar. The reason? Sugar substitutes give a shot of sweet taste with zero calories, which confuses the body. When we taste something sweet without getting the expected calories that come with that flavor, it actually makes us hungrier. So we eat more -- and pack on the pounds. Skip ahead to see the best and worst sugar substitutes now.
Even natural sugar substitutes, which contain fructose, can wreak havoc on our health if we overindulge. "Very high doses of fructose may have a negative impact on the liver, and high dietary fructose is associated with metabolic syndrome, obesity, heart disease, and type II diabetes," says Robin Foroutan, MS, RD, integrative nutritionist and communications chair for Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine. But let's face it: Living life without sugar isn't feasible. And with all kinds of sneaky sources of sugar (it's in ketchup, soy milk, tomato sauce, and a laundry list of other foods you wouldn't expect) it's easy to overdo it. If you take your coffee with a teaspoon or two of the white stuff, you might want to reach for a sugar substitute every now and then. What's more, most sugar substitutes won't cause a spike in blood sugar levels, so you can sidestep the low energy and brain fog that usually follows a sweet treat. Enter this list of the best and worst sugar substitutes out there. We asked dieticians to fill us in on the ones that aren't doing anything for our health, and the ones that (in moderation) are actually good for us.

Heart Disease
Heart disease is a broad term used to describe a range of diseases that affect your heart. The various diseases that fall under the umbrella of heart disease include diseases of your blood vessels, such as coronary artery disease; heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias); heart infections; and heart defects you're born with (congenital heart defects).
The term "heart disease" is often used interchangeably with "cardiovascular disease." Cardiovascular disease generally refers to conditions that involve narrowed or blocked blood vessels that can lead to a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke. Other heart conditions, such as infections and conditions that affect your heart's muscle, valves or beating rhythm, also are considered forms of heart disease.
Heart disease symptoms vary, depending on what type of heart disease you have.
Symptoms of heart disease in your blood vessels (cardiovascular disease)
Cardiovascular disease is caused by narrowed, blocked or stiffened blood vessels that prevent your heart, brain or other parts of your body from receiving enough blood. Cardiovascular disease symptoms can include:
Chest pain (angina)
Shortness of breath
Pain, numbness, weakness or coldness in your legs or arms, if the blood vessels in those parts of your body are narrowed
You might not be diagnosed with cardiovascular disease until your condition worsens to the point that you have a heart attack, angina, stroke, or heart failure. It's important to watch for cardiovascular symptoms and discuss any concerns with your doctor. Cardiovascular disease can sometimes be found early with regular visits to your doctor.
Heart disease symptoms caused by abnormal heartbeats (heart arrhythmias)
A heart arrhythmia is an abnormal heartbeat. Your heart may beat too quickly, too slowly, or irregularly if you have an arrhythmia. Heart arrhythmia symptoms can include:
A fluttering in your chest
A racing heartbeat (tachycardia)
A slow heartbeat (bradycardia)
Chest pain
Shortness of breath
Lightheadedness
Dizziness
Fainting (syncope) or near fainting
Heart disease symptoms caused by heart defects
Serious congenital heart defects — a defect you're born with — usually become evident soon after birth. Heart defect symptoms could include:
Pale gray or blue skin color (cyanosis)
Swelling in the legs, abdomen or areas around the eyes
Shortness of breath during feedings, leading to poor weight gain
Less serious congenital heart defects are often not diagnosed until later in childhood or even during adulthood. Signs and symptoms of congenital heart defects that usually aren't immediately life-threatening include:
Easily becoming short of breath during exercise or activity
Easily tiring during exercise or activity
Built-up fluid in the heart or lungs
Swelling in the hands, ankles or feet
Heart disease symptoms caused by thick heart muscle (cardiomyopathy)
Cardiomyopathy is the thickening and stiffening of heart muscle. In early stages of cardiomyopathy, you may have no symptoms. As the condition worsens, cardiomyopathy symptoms include:
Breathlessness with exertion or even at rest
Swelling of the legs, ankles and feet
Bloating (distention) of the abdomen with fluid
Fatigue
Irregular heartbeats that feel rapid, pounding or fluttering
Dizziness, lightheadedness and fainting
Heart disease symptoms caused by heart infections
There are three types of heart infections:
Pericarditis, which affects the tissue surrounding the heart (pericardium)
Myocarditis, which affects the muscular middle layer of the walls of the heart (myocardium)
Endocarditis, which affects the inner membrane that separates the chambers and valves of your heart (endocardium)
Varying slightly with each type of infection, heart infection symptoms can include:
Fever
Shortness of breath
Weakness or fatigue
Swelling in your legs or abdomen
Changes in your heart rhythm
Dry or persistent cough
Skin rashes or unusual spots
Heart disease symptoms caused by valvular heart disease
The heart has four valves — the aortic, mitral, pulmonary and tricuspid valves — that open and close to direct blood flow through your heart. Valves may be damaged by a variety of conditions leading to narrowing (stenosis), leaking (regurgitation or insufficiency) or improper closing (prolapse). Depending on which valve isn't working properly, valvular heart disease symptoms generally include:
Fatigue
Shortness of breath
Irregular heartbeat or heart murmur
Swollen feet or ankles
Chest pain
Fainting (syncope)

Nervous system disease
The Nervous System is the most important system in the human body.Nervous system like Windows computer system, the computer can't work without it. Similarly, if the damage to the nervous system, the people is not normal.Unfortunately, there are many diseases that affect the neurologic system. Here're a brief list and descriptions of some of the more common neurologic disorders that affect the majority of people in our modern day world.
Cerebral Palsy - this disease is the most common cause of children becoming crippled. Cerebral palsy is defined as a group of neuromuscular disorders the will result in CNS damage. One of the most common signs and symptoms for cerebral palsy are having hyperactive deep tendon reflexes, increased stretch reflexes, general muscle weakness, underdevelopment of limbs, and rapid muscle contractions and relaxation.
Hydrocephalus - This disorder is the result of excessive accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within the ventricular spaces of the brain. This disorder also affects newer born babies, but it can affect adults as well. The most important signs and symptoms for this disorder, is the rapidly increasing width of the head circumference which will be very disproportionate to the infant's or adult's body.
Epilepsy - This disorder is also called a seizure disorder, which is the condition of the brain that is marked by a person having the susceptibility to have recurrent seizure episodes.
CVA - A Cerebrovascular accident (also known as brain attack or stroke) is defined as the sudden impairment of the cerebral circulation in one or more of the blood vessels supplying the brain. This can cause a diminish oxygen supply to the brain and will often result in necrosis (tissue death) of the brain tissues and will cause physical impairment the will affect the person the result of their life. Some of the signs and symptoms for this disorder are sudden drowsiness, dizziness, headache, and mental confusion. Other signs like mental impairment, seizures, coma, nuchal rigidity, disorientation, and fever are also common.
Parkinson's Disease - Is one of the most common crippling diseases in the United States today. A person that has Parkinson disease will display sings of having dementia, involuntary tremors, akinesia, and progressive muscle rigidity.
In conclusion, there are many different types of neurologic disorders that can affect a person. Therefore, it is important for anyone that wants to avoid these diseases to take good care of themselves. However, some neurologic disorders may not be prevented because they are depended on family genetics. Nonetheless, if a person can recognize these common signs and symptoms of these diseases, then they can be better prepared in understanding this condition.

Boxing day in Netherlands
Many people in the Netherlands observe the second day of Christmas, which falls on December 26. It is a continuation of the Christmas holiday or a chance to spend time outdoors or with family or friends. It is also Saint Stephen's Day.
The Christmas celebration traditionally lasted for 12 days from December 25 (Christmas Day) until January 6 (Epiphany). Epiphany commemorates the three wise men's visit to Jesus, according to the Christian bible. The 12-day feast reflected the winter festivals in Europe during pre-Christian times. The December 26 holiday is now all that remains of the long feast.
In the church calendar, December 26 is Saint Stephen's Day. Saint Stephen lived around the same time as Jesus. He was responsible for distributing aid and support to widows within the church community and was renowned for his preaching skills. He was tried for blasphemy and stoned to death.
Some Christians attend church on December 26 to mark Saint Stephen's Day. However, many people spend the second day of Christmas in much the same way as Christmas Day. They spend most of the day preparing and eating a large meal with family members or close friends. Many couples spend Christmas Day at one partner's parental home and the next day at the other's parental home. Others visit relatives such as grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews or nieces.
Other people plan a more active day and go for a walk or cycle ride in the countryside or along the coast, take part in sports competitions or visit a children's farm or a Christmas market. Christmas markets with mobile ice skating rinks are especially popular. Those who spend the day quietly may spend the evening attending the theater, a musical or the cinema. For some people, December 26 is the traditional day to depart to countries such as France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland or Italy for a winter vacation centered on skiing or snowboarding.

Battle of Rivas
Battle of Rivas is a national holiday honoring a young fighter from Alajuela who defended his country to the death against William Walkers forces at the battle of Rivas in 1856.
After Costa Rican forces ousted the mercenary army led by William Walker from Guanacaste's Hacienda Santa Rosa on March 20, 1856, the filibusters were chased back across the border into Nicaragua, where the Costa Ricans clashed again with the mercenaries in a decisive battle in the town of Rivas on April 11, 1856.
It was during this encounter that Costa Rica's only National War Hero (at least the only Costa Rican to have a national holiday declared in his honor), Juan Santamaría, gained his martyrdom. A young man from the town of Alajuela, Juan was a drummer boy in the country's impromptu militia, but his moment of bravery came when the commanding officer asked for a volunteer to set fire to El Mesón de Guerra the building the filibusters had made their stronghold. Juan, torch in hand, fulfilled his patriotic duty, but it cost him his life.
People on that day will held parades, marching bands, dances and other celebrations extend through the week concentrated in Alajuela.Fiesta San Rafael de Sata Ana—Street fair with music, dancing, traditional food and toro a la Tica (bullfights without the bloodshed)

The food which has low Calorie and high Protein
The more better life, the more fatter many people are. In now modern life, many people want weight loss, they always don't eat food. This can't solve this problem, you can't live good without food, believe you have tasted the hungry feeling. The better ways to solve this is eat the food which has low calorie and high protein.
Beans
A vegetarian should eat beans to reach his recommended daily intake of protein, while at the same time avoid gaining weight. Soybeans (edamame) contain the most protein and are low in calories--11.1 g per 1/2 cup cooked, and have only 127 calories. Tofu, a soybean product, has about 30 fewer calories for the same measure (fresh) and almost as much protein. Beans, such as black beans, lima beans, navy beans and kidney beans have the highest amount of protein--approximately 7.5 g per 1/2 cup cooked. With the exception of navy beans, which has slightly more calories, they all contain only approximately 113 calories per half cup. Lima beans have 8.9 g of protein, but only 115 calories per 1/2 cup. Be aware that "animal proteins such as meat, milk and cheese tend to be of a higher protein quality than plant proteins," according to the Vegetarian Society.
Fish
White fish has a lot of protein and few calories. For example, 3 oz. of halibut has only 93 calories and 17.7 g of protein, while the same serving of salmon, has a comparable amount of protein but also 127 calories. Sardines in water have a few more grams of protein. However, they also have more calories--130 per can. Tuna contains only 70 calories per 1/4 cup and has 16 g of protein.
Egg Whites
Eat egg whites if you must watch your calories but ensure that you also get sufficient protein. Each egg white has 3.6 g of protein, but only 17 calories, which means you can eat several without gaining weight and reach your recommended daily intake (RDI) of protein. To meet your RDI, eat 0.6 to 1.2 g of protein per kg per day. (Divide your weight with 2.2 to get how many kg you weigh.) Keep in mind that the yolk has more nutrients than the white.
Chicken and Turkey
White turkey meat, with its 178 calories per four oz., contains slightly fewer calories than the same amount of white chicken meat, which contains 196. Chicken has 35.1 g of protein over turkey's 33.6 g per serving. Stay away from all dark poultry meat because it has more calories.

Essential Vitamins List
There are 13 vitamins that are "absolutely necessary," according to the National Institutes for Health (NIH). These are vitamins A, C, D, E, K and the B vitamins, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folate. Nearly all these vitamins can be found in fresh fruits and vegetables.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is an antioxidant. According to the University of Florida's Electronic Data Information Source, antioxidants help prevent cells from being damaged. This vitamin also helps night vision and aids in reproduction, bone growth and immunity. The NIH says the best source for vitamin A is colorful fruits and vegetables. You can also find it in liver and whole milk, and it may be added to some cereals.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C helps keep skin, bones and connective tissues healthy and is also a powerful antioxidant. Also known as ascorbic acid, it is needed for the body to absorb iron properly. Citrus fruit, peppers, broccoli and tomatoes are good sources of vitamin C. Cooking or storing these fruits and veggies can destroy the vitamin content. Cutting before cooking helps retain nutrients. Steaming and microwaving are the best cooking methods.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D helps with calcium absorption and assists in calcium and phosphorus deposits for strong teeth and bones. It also has an important role in the immune system. Our bodies can make this important vitamin when we are exposed to sunlight. Egg yolks, liver and fish are good food sources of this vitamin. It has also been added to milk and some cereal.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is essential for the immune system and metabolism and a powerful antioxidant. Vegetable oil, margarine and leafy greens are the best sources, but this vitamin can also be found in nuts and seeds. Vitamin E can interfere with some medications like blood thinners, so discuss taking any supplements with your doctor.
Vitamin K
Vitamin K helps the blood clot quickly and also makes proteins for tissues and bones. Newborns get a vitamin K shot soon after birth to ensure proper clotting. Turnip greens and spinach are packed with vitamin K. Kiwis, blackberries and blueberries are also good sources.
B Vitamins
The B vitamins are thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folate. NIH says that these vitamins help the body make energy from food. They also help form red blood cells. Proteins like chicken, beef and fish are good sources, as well as leafy green vegetables, peas and beans. Folate, also known as folic acid, may be the most important B vitamin because it has an important role in making DNA and amino acids. Women who may become pregnant should take folate to help prevent birth defects.
