Heart Disease

Heart disease is a broad term used to describe a range of diseases that affect your heart. The various diseases that fall under the umbrella of heart disease include diseases of your blood vessels, such as coronary artery disease; heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias); heart infections; and heart defects you're born with (congenital heart defects).

The term "heart disease" is often used interchangeably with "cardiovascular disease." Cardiovascular disease generally refers to conditions that involve narrowed or blocked blood vessels that can lead to a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke. Other heart conditions, such as infections and conditions that affect your heart's muscle, valves or beating rhythm, also are considered forms of heart disease.

Heart disease symptoms vary, depending on what type of heart disease you have.
Symptoms of heart disease in your blood vessels (cardiovascular disease)
Cardiovascular disease is caused by narrowed, blocked or stiffened blood vessels that prevent your heart, brain or other parts of your body from receiving enough blood. Cardiovascular disease symptoms can include:
 Chest pain (angina)
 Shortness of breath
Pain, numbness, weakness or coldness in your legs or arms, if the blood vessels in those parts of your body are narrowed

You might not be diagnosed with cardiovascular disease until your condition worsens to the point that you have a heart attack, angina, stroke, or heart failure. It's important to watch for cardiovascular symptoms and discuss any concerns with your doctor. Cardiovascular disease can sometimes be found early with regular visits to your doctor.

Heart disease symptoms caused by abnormal heartbeats (heart arrhythmias)
A heart arrhythmia is an abnormal heartbeat. Your heart may beat too quickly, too slowly, or irregularly if you have an arrhythmia. Heart arrhythmia symptoms can include:
 A fluttering in your chest
 A racing heartbeat (tachycardia)
 A slow heartbeat (bradycardia)
 Chest pain
 Shortness of breath
 Lightheadedness
 Dizziness
 Fainting (syncope) or near fainting

Heart disease symptoms caused by heart defects
Serious congenital heart defects — a defect you're born with — usually become evident soon after birth. Heart defect symptoms could include:
Pale gray or blue skin color (cyanosis)
Swelling in the legs, abdomen or areas around the eyes
Shortness of breath during feedings, leading to poor weight gain

Less serious congenital heart defects are often not diagnosed until later in childhood or even during adulthood. Signs and symptoms of congenital heart defects that usually aren't immediately life-threatening include:
Easily becoming short of breath during exercise or activity
Easily tiring during exercise or activity
Built-up fluid in the heart or lungs
Swelling in the hands, ankles or feet

Heart disease symptoms caused by thick heart muscle (cardiomyopathy)
Cardiomyopathy is the thickening and stiffening of heart muscle. In early stages of cardiomyopathy, you may have no symptoms. As the condition worsens, cardiomyopathy symptoms include:
Breathlessness with exertion or even at rest
Swelling of the legs, ankles and feet
Bloating (distention) of the abdomen with fluid
 Fatigue
Irregular heartbeats that feel rapid, pounding or fluttering
 Dizziness, lightheadedness and fainting

Heart disease symptoms caused by heart infections
There are three types of heart infections:
Pericarditis, which affects the tissue surrounding the heart (pericardium)
Myocarditis, which affects the muscular middle layer of the walls of the heart (myocardium)
Endocarditis, which affects the inner membrane that separates the chambers and valves of your heart (endocardium)

Varying slightly with each type of infection, heart infection symptoms can include:
 Fever
 Shortness of breath
 Weakness or fatigue
Swelling in your legs or abdomen
 Changes in your heart rhythm
 Dry or persistent cough
 Skin rashes or unusual spots

Heart disease symptoms caused by valvular heart disease
The heart has four valves — the aortic, mitral, pulmonary and tricuspid valves — that open and close to direct blood flow through your heart. Valves may be damaged by a variety of conditions leading to narrowing (stenosis), leaking (regurgitation or insufficiency) or improper closing (prolapse). Depending on which valve isn't working properly, valvular heart disease symptoms generally include:
 Fatigue
 Shortness of breath
 Irregular heartbeat or heart murmur
 Swollen feet or ankles
Chest pain
 Fainting (syncope)

Boxing day in Netherlands

Many people in the Netherlands observe the second day of Christmas, which falls on December 26. It is a continuation of the Christmas holiday or a chance to spend time outdoors or with family or friends. It is also Saint Stephen's Day.
The Christmas celebration traditionally lasted for 12 days from December 25 (Christmas Day) until January 6 (Epiphany). Epiphany commemorates the three wise men's visit to Jesus, according to the Christian bible. The 12-day feast reflected the winter festivals in Europe during pre-Christian times. The December 26 holiday is now all that remains of the long feast.

In the church calendar, December 26 is Saint Stephen's Day. Saint Stephen lived around the same time as Jesus. He was responsible for distributing aid and support to widows within the church community and was renowned for his preaching skills. He was tried for blasphemy and stoned to death.

Some Christians attend church on December 26 to mark Saint Stephen's Day. However, many people spend the second day of Christmas in much the same way as Christmas Day. They spend most of the day preparing and eating a large meal with family members or close friends. Many couples spend Christmas Day at one partner's parental home and the next day at the other's parental home. Others visit relatives such as grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews or nieces.

Other people plan a more active day and go for a walk or cycle ride in the countryside or along the coast, take part in sports competitions or visit a children's farm or a Christmas market. Christmas markets with mobile ice skating rinks are especially popular. Those who spend the day quietly may spend the evening attending the theater, a musical or the cinema. For some people, December 26 is the traditional day to depart to countries such as France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland or Italy for a winter vacation centered on skiing or snowboarding.

Battle of Rivas

Battle of Rivas is a national holiday honoring a young fighter from Alajuela who defended his country to the death against William Walkers forces at the battle of Rivas in 1856.
After Costa Rican forces ousted the mercenary army led by William Walker from Guanacaste's Hacienda Santa Rosa on March 20, 1856, the filibusters were chased back across the border into Nicaragua, where the Costa Ricans clashed again with the mercenaries in a decisive battle in the town of Rivas on April 11, 1856.
It was during this encounter that Costa Rica's only National War Hero (at least the only Costa Rican to have a national holiday declared in his honor), Juan Santamaría, gained his martyrdom. A young man from the town of Alajuela, Juan was a drummer boy in the country's impromptu militia, but his moment of bravery came when the commanding officer asked for a volunteer to set fire to El Mesón de Guerra the building the filibusters had made their stronghold. Juan, torch in hand, fulfilled his patriotic duty, but it cost him his life.
People on that day will held parades, marching bands, dances and other celebrations extend through the week concentrated in Alajuela.Fiesta San Rafael de Sata Ana—Street fair with music, dancing, traditional food and toro a la Tica (bullfights without the bloodshed)

The food which has low Calorie and high Protein

The more better life, the more fatter many people are. In now modern life, many people want weight loss, they always don't eat food. This can't solve this problem, you can't live good without food, believe you have tasted the hungry feeling. The better ways to solve this is eat the food which has low calorie and high protein.
Beans

A vegetarian should eat beans to reach his recommended daily intake of protein, while at the same time avoid gaining weight. Soybeans (edamame) contain the most protein and are low in calories--11.1 g per 1/2 cup cooked, and have only 127 calories. Tofu, a soybean product, has about 30 fewer calories for the same measure (fresh) and almost as much protein. Beans, such as black beans, lima beans, navy beans and kidney beans have the highest amount of protein--approximately 7.5 g per 1/2 cup cooked. With the exception of navy beans, which has slightly more calories, they all contain only approximately 113 calories per half cup. Lima beans have 8.9 g of protein, but only 115 calories per 1/2 cup. Be aware that "animal proteins such as meat, milk and cheese tend to be of a higher protein quality than plant proteins," according to the Vegetarian Society.
Fish

White fish has a lot of protein and few calories. For example, 3 oz. of halibut has only 93 calories and 17.7 g of protein, while the same serving of salmon, has a comparable amount of protein but also 127 calories. Sardines in water have a few more grams of protein. However, they also have more calories--130 per can. Tuna contains only 70 calories per 1/4 cup and has 16 g of protein.
Egg Whites
Eat egg whites if you must watch your calories but ensure that you also get sufficient protein. Each egg white has 3.6 g of protein, but only 17 calories, which means you can eat several without gaining weight and reach your recommended daily intake (RDI) of protein. To meet your RDI, eat 0.6 to 1.2 g of protein per kg per day. (Divide your weight with 2.2 to get how many kg you weigh.) Keep in mind that the yolk has more nutrients than the white.

Chicken and Turkey

White turkey meat, with its 178 calories per four oz., contains slightly fewer calories than the same amount of white chicken meat, which contains 196. Chicken has 35.1 g of protein over turkey's 33.6 g per serving. Stay away from all dark poultry meat because it has more calories.

Essential Vitamins List

There are 13 vitamins that are "absolutely necessary," according to the National Institutes for Health (NIH). These are vitamins A, C, D, E, K and the B vitamins, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folate. Nearly all these vitamins can be found in fresh fruits and vegetables.
Vitamin A

Vitamin A is an antioxidant. According to the University of Florida's Electronic Data Information Source, antioxidants help prevent cells from being damaged. This vitamin also helps night vision and aids in reproduction, bone growth and immunity. The NIH says the best source for vitamin A is colorful fruits and vegetables. You can also find it in liver and whole milk, and it may be added to some cereals.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps keep skin, bones and connective tissues healthy and is also a powerful antioxidant. Also known as ascorbic acid, it is needed for the body to absorb iron properly. Citrus fruit, peppers, broccoli and tomatoes are good sources of vitamin C. Cooking or storing these fruits and veggies can destroy the vitamin content. Cutting before cooking helps retain nutrients. Steaming and microwaving are the best cooking methods.
Vitamin D

Vitamin D helps with calcium absorption and assists in calcium and phosphorus deposits for strong teeth and bones. It also has an important role in the immune system. Our bodies can make this important vitamin when we are exposed to sunlight. Egg yolks, liver and fish are good food sources of this vitamin. It has also been added to milk and some cereal.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is essential for the immune system and metabolism and a powerful antioxidant. Vegetable oil, margarine and leafy greens are the best sources, but this vitamin can also be found in nuts and seeds. Vitamin E can interfere with some medications like blood thinners, so discuss taking any supplements with your doctor.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K helps the blood clot quickly and also makes proteins for tissues and bones. Newborns get a vitamin K shot soon after birth to ensure proper clotting. Turnip greens and spinach are packed with vitamin K. Kiwis, blackberries and blueberries are also good sources.

B Vitamins

The B vitamins are thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folate. NIH says that these vitamins help the body make energy from food. They also help form red blood cells. Proteins like chicken, beef and fish are good sources, as well as leafy green vegetables, peas and beans. Folate, also known as folic acid, may be the most important B vitamin because it has an important role in making DNA and amino acids. Women who may become pregnant should take folate to help prevent birth defects.

The Advantages of Health Eating

Healthy eating remains a personal choice. It has distinct advantages that are available to every one of us. An abundant sense of well-being, high energy levels, emotional integrity, a sharp and alert mind, and physical fitness can be achieved by anyone. Who can deny the advantage of good nutritional habits over the chances of developing a major illness or disease? Health is not just an absence of illness. It encompasses so much more, allowing us to fully enjoy and appreciate a high quality of living. These are just a few of the advantages of healthy eating.

'''An Overview Of Eating Healthy'''

"Optimum nutrition," on the most basic level, as defined by British nutritionist Patrick Holford in his book, The Optimum Nutrition Bible, "is very simply giving yourself the best possible intake of nutrients to allow your body to be as healthy as possible and to work as well is it can." We each have distinctive needs that are dependent on many, many factors, beginning with the strengths and weaknesses we were born with (our genetic makeup) up to the effects that our current environment has on each of us. This is apparent by the tremendous variation among us. Thus, our nutritional needs will also be distinctive. Although there is no one best way of eating for everyone, there are some general guidelines that apply to all of us.
Our bodies are made up of the molecules that we get from our food. In each of our lifetimes, we will eat about 100 tons of food, according to Holford. This food will be broken down by enzyme rich secretions found in our digestive tracts. The digestive tract absorbs both macronutrients (fats, proteins and carbohydrates) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). The health and integrity of not only our digestive tracts, but of our entire selves as living beings, depends on what we eat. Our nutritional status determines how we maintain health and adapt to challenges in our everyday lives. We can maintain and promote our health each day by attaining our ideal intake of each of the required nutrients.

'''Protection from Disease'''

Protection from disease probably is the greatest benefit of healthy eating. Many of the diseases that we see every day, including cancer, diabetes and heart disease, are directly related to our diets. Breast, colon and prostate cancers are all related to poor eating habits. High blood pressure, high cholesterol and stroke can also be prevented through better eating habits. Diet-related disease abounds in our society, and it is through favorable eating habits that we can promote better health in ourselves and our loved ones.

'''Weight Management'''

We are all aware of the relationship of poor eating habits to obesity. Obesity is one of the fastest-growing health concerns in this country today. We tend to eat more food than our bodies really need to function properly. This is one of the biggest factors that has contributed to the increasing numbers of people who have weight-management issues. We say that we don't have time to prepare and cook healthy meals. In order to improve the quality of our lives in many more ways than just weight management, we need to learn how to prioritize the responsibilities in our lives.

'''Increased Energy'''

Our bodies require the proper nutrients to fuel and energize us for the tasks ahead in our day. Energy to accomplish the things we want to in life is possible through optimum nutrition. Healthy eating makes us feel more energetic and, thereby, we enjoy our lives much more as well.

'''Mental Alertness'''

Improved mental clarity and concentration are achieved through proper eating habits. Optimum nutrition is associated with a longer lifespan and staying sharp throughout our lives is a goal we all hope to achieve. Healthy eating habits are also associated with mental and emotional balance, promoting a higher quality of life.

'''Stronger Immune System'''

Good nutritional habits help to protect us from infections by improving our resistance. By including fresh fruits and vegetables and whole-grain products instead of processed, junk foods our bodies can obtain the needed supply of nutrients it requires to keep us strong and healthy. By eating a variety of foods we should be able to ensure that our body gets all the nutrients it needs.

'''Additional Benefits to Eating a Healthy Diet'''

Some additional benefits that we gain through eating a healthy diet include an improved quality of sleep, better skin tone, a general feeling of well-being, improved physical performance, lower incidences of ill health, an increased IQ and a longer life with an increased quality and an abundance of vitality. By making small changes in our diets, by controlling portion sizes and making better choices we can achieve the advantages of healthy eating.

Ascension Day

Ascension Day is observed in Canada on the 40th day of Easter. It commemorates Jesus Christ's ascension into heaven, according to the New Testament of the Bible.

Ascension Day is one of the earliest Christian festivals dating back to the year 68 CE. According to the New Testament in the Bible, Jesus Christ met several times with his disciples during the 40 days after his resurrection to instruct them on how to carry out his teachings. It is believed that on the 40th day he took them to the Mount of Olives, where they watched as he ascended to heaven.

Ascension Day marks the end of the Easter season and occurs ten days before Pentecost. Depending upon the phases of the moon in a particular year, Ascension Day is usually celebrated on a Thursday. However, it has been reported that some Roman Catholic churches in Canada celebrate it on the following Sunday.

Many Eastern Orthodox churches calculate the date of Pascha (Easter) according to the Julian calendar, rather than the Gregorian calendar used by many western churches, so their Ascension Day usually occurs after the western observance.

Some Christians in Canada attend Ascension Day church services where they can receive communion, also known as the Eucharist, engage in prayer and sing hymns. Various churches, including the Roman Catholic Church and the United Church of Canada, observe this event. Children who attend Sunday school may learn about the meaning of Ascension Day around this time of the year.

Anzac Day in New Zealand

Anzac Day, on April 25, is the anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli during World War I in 1915. The Australian and New Zealander soldiers were part of an Allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli Peninsula. Close to 3000 New Zealand soldiers died during the eight-month Gallipoli campaign.

Anzac Day has been a public holiday in New Zealand since 1921. However, it was observed as early as 1916. A civic delegation in Wellington persuaded the government to gazette April 25 as a general half-day holiday. By 1920 it was apparent that most New Zealanders wanted Anzac Day observed as a sacred day and later that year the government introduced a bill to make Anzac Day a national holiday.
Many New Zealanders attend parades, dawn services or commemorative ceremonies on Anzac Day. The Anzac Day parades involve returned service personnel wearing their medals while marching behind banners. Defence force members, cadets and youth organizations also join in the parade. It’s also common to lay wreaths to remember New Zealanders who fought and died in past wars and conflicts. Some people travel to be part of a commemorative service at Gallipoli, in Turkey, on Anzac Day.
Services begin before dawn, as members of the defence services march to their local memorial (almost every town, large and small, in New Zealand and Australia, have a war memorial, or an "ANZAC Square") where members of the public and community leaders join them for a Dawn Service. A catafalque guard of honour around the war memorial is provided by Uniformed service personnel. The service is marked by the National Anthem, hymns, a piper, laying of ANZAC wreaths and the ANZAC Dedication which incorporates the final verse of Laurence Binyon's "For the Fallen":

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Finally, a single bugler sounds the Last Post, followed by a minute's silence, and the sounding of Reveille.

Adelaide Cup in Australia

Horse racing in Adelaide began in 1838 and the inaugural Adelaide Cup was run on the Thebarton Course on April 21, 1864. From this point onwards, the Adelaide Cup was an observance that became part of the state’s annual racing schedule. A wartime ban on racing was introduced in 1942 but the ban was lifted in 1944 and the Adelaide Cup was run again. Adelaide Cup received its public holiday status in 1973 and became officially known as the SKYCITY Adelaide Cup in 2005.

Previously held on the third Monday of May, the Adelaide Cup date was changed in 2006 due to rainy weather that often coincided with the racing date in previous years. The newly proposed date needed to fit with the Australian national racing calendar. The South Australian government’s decision to move the date to a warmer time of the year (in the southern hemisphere), which would improve financial returns, was a success. The Adelaide Cup date was fixed to be annually held on the second Monday of March from 2006 onwards.
Adelaide Cup is one of the biggest events of the year for many people in South Australia. It is a social event in Adelaide that attracts horse racing enthusiasts and socialites alike. Those involved in the horse racing industry, including horse owners, trainers and jockeys, participate for prize money that is awarded to winning horses on the day. Many people bet on their favorite horse in hope of taking their winnings home. The first race generally starts between 11.45am and 12.30pm. There are usually eight races throughout the day that are 40 minutes apart.

Many people who attend the event dress up in their best outfits, watch or are chosen to take part in fashion shows, listen to live music, and socialize with celebrity guests on the field. Marquees are set up near the tracks where special guests can indulge in gourmet food and drinks. Those who do not attend the race track to watch the event may choose to watch it from their televisions at home.

Adelaide Cup is part of a long weekend so it is also a time for many people to plan a short vacation or camping trip to other parts of the state or other states within Australia. In previous times, some people chose celebrate Volunteer’s Day instead of the Adelaide Cup in South Australia.

Ance and Cancer

Acne and cancer are two very different conditions. Cancer is an invasive, life-threatening disease, while acne is a chronic skin condition. Research, however, has linked the two in a number of ways. According to a study titled “Spotting the onset of puberty–the secret’s in the skin", conducted by scientists at the Skin Research Center at the University of Leeds, the bacteria that causes acne, known as propionibacteria, also reduces the risk of cancer by strengthening the defenses of the immune system.
Acne

Acne is a chronic skin condition that usually affects the face, back and chest. It is very common, infecting mostly teenagers and young adults. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, approximately 40 to 50 million Americans experience acne. Acne is caused by the overproduction of oily sebum in the skin, which blocks the pores and creates inflamed spots. These are often black, yellowish or small red bumps. In more extreme cases, large, puss-filled cysts can develop which are often sore and can lead to scarring. Exactly what causes acne is unknown, although heredity, hormones and stress are believed to be triggering factors.

Cancer

Cancer is a disease caused by the abnormal growth of cells in the body. The term cancer describes the malignant tumors that develop from the uncontrolled reproduction of cells. According to Cancer Research UK, there are more than two hundred different types of cancer, affecting many parts of the body. If left untreated, cancer can spread and destroy other organs and tissues in the body. There are some common symptoms of cancer including lumps in the body, moles and bleeding. Recent estimates by the American Cancer Society state that about one in eight women develop breast cancer.

Acne as a Symptom of Cancer

Acne has been recognized as a symptom of some cancers. According to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America website, adrenal cancer may lead to Cushing's syndrome, a hormonal disorder associated with severe acne. Though adrenal cancer is considered rare, DermNet NZ links Cushing’s syndrome to both benign and malignant adrenal tumors.

Acne as a Cause of Cancer

Oil acne is a skin condition caused by the overexposure to petroleum and its derivatives. It is characterized by blisters and small spots heavily exposed to oil. According to the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, if not treated properly, oil acne can develop into skin cancer. It recommends that people with oil acne should consult a physician. However, acne is not commonly cited as a cause of cancer.

Cancer Treatment Side Effects

The American Cancer Society lists acne as a “possible side effect” of a number of immunotherapy drugs. It also states that androgens, which combat cancer by controlling the hormone composition in the cancer cell, may increase acne within women. According to Macmillan, a leading charity in the UK, an acne-like rash is a common side effect of some biological therapies, such as Panitumumab (also known as Vectibix), used to treat bowel cancer. Acne as a side-effect has also been linked to steroid treatments.

How to reduce wrinkles

Aging may be inevitable, but that does not mean that your skin has to look its age. There are many advanced technologies out there along with simple remedies that you can practice daily in order to reduce wrinkles. Younger, smoother looking skin can be yours with less effort than you think.

You may love to get your suntan on, but according to New York plastic surgeon Darrick Antell, MD, sun exposure is the number one cause of wrinkles, so by limiting your time under the sun, you will protect your skin from developing wrinkles in the future. Wearing sunscreen is also important, not only to reduce wrinkles but for protecting you from skin cancer as well.

Smoking is also responsible for releasing an enzyme that breaks down the collagen and elastin in your skin, which contributes to more wrinkles, so remember that next time you reach for a cigarette. You should also make sure that you get enough sleep if you are hoping to reduce wrinkles. Aim for at least seven hours of sleep a day, the daily recommended amount. According to Yale dermatologist Nicholas Perricone, MD, your body produces excess cortisol when you do not get enough sleep. Cortisol breaks down skin cells, which makes your skin appear less elastic and thick.

Another way to reduce wrinkles is to eat foods like salmon and soy. Salmon is a great source of protein as well as the source of the essential fatty acid Omega 3. These fatty acids help nourish your skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. Soy also is known to help protect and heal some of the photo-aging damage causes by the sun, according to the European Journal of Nutrition. Just a glass a day of soy milk can help improve the structure and firmness of your skin.

There are many options for treating wrinkles and fighting aging, and by practicing some of the simpler home remedies along with a cosmetic treatment, you will effectively reduce wrinkles and have younger looking skin.

Low Calorie Diet

If a person cuts 500 calories out of their daily intake you would lose one pound each week. Starting a low calorie diet does not only equal shed pounds and looser clothing, it can also help a person lower their blood pressure and increase energy, improve sleep and lower cholesterol levels.
1 、Determine the amount of calories you wish to eat each day. For many women and men, the amount of calories consumed per day is lowered from around 2,000 calories to 1,500 calories. This drop in 500 calories per day will once again allow a person to lose one pound per week.
2 、Read the labels on foods before consuming them. The calories are usually listed per serving, so work out how many servings of a food or liquid you can consume that will allow you to not exceed your daily caloric intake.

3 、Replace foods that you love that contain high amounts of calories with healthier alternatives. For instance, a bowl of ice cream can be replaced with yogurt or low calorie sherbet. Instead of grabbing a bag of potato chips, grab a handful of carrot sticks or low calorie crackers.
4 、Identify daily indulgences that you could completely cut out of your daily routine each day. This could be anything from a high calorie cup of ice coffee in the morning to the can of soda you consume with dinner each night.
5 、Reduce the portion size of your favorite foods. If you enjoy pizza, eat one slice instead of two. A large cut of fatty meat, such as steak, can be cut in half and shared with a friend or family member.
6 、Start a food diary. Write down every single thing you eat or drink throughout the day, no matter if it is a large meal or a sample you consume at the grocery store. This will give you an accurate picture of how many calories you consume each day so do not lie in the diary because the only person you would be lying to is yourself.
7 、Avoid skipping meals. This will only make you hungrier and could send you running for the nearest convenience store to pick up a bag of chips or a package of donuts.

Black skin care

Dark skin or black skin is commonly seen in the natives of Africa, some of the races in Australia, in the African American race in the US, and people from the Caribbean and other islands. These people have a very high amount of melanin in their skin. Melanin is the substance that gives color to the skin so an increased amount of it makes the skin darker.
Melanin is responsible for blocking the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays from producing free radicals on the skin surface and harming the outermost layer of cells of the skin. It makes the skin look younger since it slows the effects of aging. It is no wonder that black people always look younger than their white skinned counterpart. But when black people age, they have an irregular pigmentation of their skin, appearing as dark patches on the skin. These dark patches are sometimes too light or too dark, depending on the skin tone. There are still different dark shades. Sometimes, it is also caused by an inflammation or infection. As the area of the skin is inflamed and red from an insect bite, acne, trauma or other causes, it becomes dark brown as the redness and inflammation subsides.
Dark skin is prone to irregular pigmentations and melanomas. In pregnant women, a dark spot often occurs around the neck area, which does not go away unless she gives birth and it is treated with calamine lotion to prevent itchiness. Birth control pills and estrogen hormonal treatment can also be a factor in causing irregular pigmentations by altering hormone content in the body, thus leading to discoloration in the skin.
To be able to treat this type of affliction, you need tretinoin & hydroquinone. Tretinoin & hydroquinone is applied to skin once a day or twice a week depending on your skin’s sensitivity and can be applied for several days to weeks and months, depending on the depth of irregular skin pigmentation. Also applying a daily sunscreen helps to prevent more discoloration.
Having black and dark skin is also beautiful especially when the undertones in dark skin are thoroughly understood. The best type of skin care available for all types of skin, may it be black or white is keeping it clean and free from any dirt and harmful deposits.
Due to their ability to not be easily affected by the sun’s rays, dark skinned people are prone to staying under the sun for a prolonged period of time. Too much sun is also dangerous to the skin, even for black skin since the heat and the UV rays will bombard the skin into giving in and thus becoming affected by it. The UV rays damage the collagen and elastin molecules in the skin, leading to the sagging and loss of elasticity of the skin. This is seen as having stretch marks, loose skin, and fat deposits around the waist, breasts, stomach, thighs, face and neck area. This is why sunscreen is also suggested to people with dark skin to be able to protect them further from a prolonged exposure to the sun’s rays.
Another type of treatment is the application of modified Jessner’s solution on the skin. This solution is used to lighten certain areas with hyperpigmentation plus treat aged skin due to damage from the sun through mild skin peeling. Before using this solution, the skin should first be treated with Retin-A or tretinoin for two to three weeks to prepare it. During treatment, it is advised not to sunbathe to avoid sunburn and to avoid places where you can hurt and damage your skin.
To some diffcult status, please see a physician or a skincare specialist to provide you with the proper treatments and proper skincare products for your skin type.

Man Skin Care

MORE SKIN CARE
Despite the growing trend for men to feel secure in borrowing their wives' and girlfriends' face creams, skincare is probably something most men know very little about. While some men might think that it involves nothing more than just choosing the right shaving equipment, others probably have visions of having to set the alarm 45 minutes earlier each morning in order to fit it all in and still be on time for work. A regular skincare routine takes very little time, and involves very little work. Just a few basic steps are all that's needed to improve the appearance of your skin and keep it looking that way.
In fact, the skin of man need cares too.A man's skin differs to that of a woman's in that testosterone generates a higher amount of secretions from the sebaceous glands making it oilier. Therefore, it's important to start any skincare routine with a good cleanser to remove dirt and impurities. Oily skin can lead to pimples and spots, so a cleanser is important in preventing blemishes. Regular bar soap is generally too harsh to be used on the face-even men's! Choose a cleanser or facial wash specifically designed for men, as not only will this remove the debris and excess oil from your skin, but it will also prepare it for shaving.
All women know the importance of moisturizer; it's the one product that very few women can do without. Moisturizing your face on a daily basis will limit the damage caused by environmental factors that can in turn lead to premature wrinkles and fine lines. A good moisturizer will contain UV protection (to protect against the sun's rays and guard against premature wrinkling), and anti-oxidants (to help prevent damage caused by pollutants and other harmful environmental elements). UV protection is important all year round, as UV rays are present in the winter and on cloudy days.
If your skin is particularly greasy and prone to break-outs, avoid a moisturizer containing lanolin as this can aggravate acne and skin blemishes. When it comes to buying a moisturizer look out for the following terms on the packaging: non-comedogenic (this means it won't clog pores), dermatology tested, fragrance-free, preservative-free, recommended by dermatologists (particularly important if your skin is sensitive). Moisturizer should be applied to a dry, freshly cleansed face, morning and evening. If you suffer with dry skin then applying moisturizer immediately after showering will help lock in moisture.
Applying a face mask is another part of the male skincare routine that can help a man's skin look years younger. Skin masks can also smooth the skin so that shaving becomes easier. Clay-based masks are good for oily/acne-prone skin, while cream-based masks are more suited to dry skins.
Remember this: a man need skin care too. Don't think that the man's skin no need beauty; you must think a handsome man must have good skin. Do you want to be a handsome man? Then do it.

Eight Outer Temples in Chengde

Outside the surrounding wall of the Mountain Resort of Chengde in Hebei Province, lies an orderly array of eight brilliant and golden temples. Located east of the Wulie River are the Puren Temple, the Pule Temple and the Anyuan Temple.

To their north and at the foot of the cliff is the Puning Temple. North of the Mountain Resort are the Xumifushouzhi Temple, the Putuozongchengzhi Temple and the Shuxiang Temple. These temples are arrayed around the Mountain Resort on the eastern and northern sides just like stars surrounding the moon in a semicircle.

The formation of the Eight Outer Temples around the Mountain Resort is our miniature motherland. Replicas of the Sanmoye Temple by the bank of the Yalutsangpo River, the Putala Palace in the upper Tibet, the Jashilumbu Monastery in the lower Tibet, and the Guerzha Temple in Yili, representative of China's southwest and northwest border areas, have appeared here. Shuxiang Temple on the Wutai Mountain, and the Hall of Arhats in the Anguo Temple in Haining County, represent Northern and Southern China.

These Temples in Tibetan, Mongolian as well as the Han architectural styles, are not just a simple imitation, but a new creation. For example, the Dacheng Tower of the Puning Temple is an imitation of the main hall of the Sanmoye Temple with the upper story in Indian style, middle story in the style of inland China and lower story in Tibetan style. However, the imitated Dacheng Tower here is all in the style of inland China, except the two sides of the lower story which retain a little characteristics of a Tibetan blockhouse, and the five upturned corner roofs of Sanmoye style. The Xumifushouzhi Temple differs greatly from the Jashilumbu Monastery, but its red platform, gilded cupola and the shape are very much in the style of the Monastery.

Valentine’s Day in Canada

The origins of Valentine’s Day are not clear. It is thought that there were a number of local fertility festivals in Europe in pre-Christian times. These were often in the middle of February. Many people also thought that birds chose their mates at this time of year. Around the year 1380, the English poet Chaucer wrote a poem for the first anniversary of the engagement of King Richard II to Anne of Bohemia. This is thought to be the first association between celebrations of romantic love and St Valentine’s Day on February 14. The connection remained important throughout the middle ages. In the mid-19th century, there was an increase in interest in Valentine’s Day, first in the United States, then in Canada. It was promoted by manufacturers of paper lace and cards as a means of increasing their sales. Gradually, this date was seen as an occasion for a man to present gifts to a woman with whom he had or would like to have had a romantic relationship. It was also customary for lovers to exchange handwritten notes. These have now largely been replaced by commercially produced cards.

Many people send letters, cards, presents and gifts to the person with whom they have or want to have a romantic relationship. Valentine’s Day cards are often red or pink and decorated with images of hearts, red roses, teddy bears, presents or happy couples kissing or embracing. They may be in brightly colored, perhaps pink or red, envelopes.
Many people give gifts to loved ones on Valentine’s Day. Common gifts are: 1、Flowers, particularly red roses. 2、Chocolates and/or candy. 3、Teddy bears. 4、Toy hearts. 5、Sparkling wine. 6、Cosmetics. 7、Clothing, including lingerie. 8、Jewelry. Some people celebrate Valentine’s Day lavishly. They may treat their partner to a themed meal in a restaurant or a night in a luxury hotel. Others may take short breaks or vacations on Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day can also be an occasion for a more general celebration of love and appreciation of people who are personally important to an individual. School children may help decorate their classrooms with hearts and spring birds and make cards or presents for their parents. Stores may also sell Valentine’s Day themed cakes, cookies or candy. Teenagers and young adults may hold Valentine’s Day parties or dances on or near February 14.
